Some parts were insightful and some parts were the same as one can read off of the Internet. Half and half. Good for the first book one would read on dating.

Meeting women online is something I have always been interested in but never had much luck with, but having heard good things about the books author Dave M, I figured it was worth giving this little book a shot and boy am I ever glad I did!!!

Inside Dave gives you his tested “rituals” for scooping up women on dating sites and all I can say is muchos gracias amigo! He doesn’t give you “theory” or the same old boring advice you have heard before. Nope, this is the straight dope, on exactly what to do and say to women online that I’ve been looking for forever. Now I think I might finally have a shot at finding a quality woman online. Thanks Dave!

Outdated, obvious, AND contradictory, April 5, 2013

I went ahead and downloaded this since it was only $2.99, but after reading it, I realized I totally wasted the money. I will hit each of the main points in my title:

1. Outdated: Supposedly this is written in 2012; that is completely bogus. If you go to his website you will see that his copyright goes from 2005-2012. This might have been written in 2005, but is is severely outdated now. When he lists Internet dating sites, he includes some that are no longer present, and excludes newer ones such as OKCupid that have taken over as free dating sites. His advice about getting numbers is outdated as well; in more recent times the preference has definitely moved to meeting before talking on the phone; a scenario he never even considers.

2. Obvious: Some of the real bombshells he reveals: 1) Don’t whine about ex’s to potential dates, 2) Don’t give away too personal information on first contact, 3) Try to think things from the other person’s perspective. Sorry that I just revealed all the important info in the book, Dave M…

3. Contradictory: He mentions that you should get the other person’s phone number by second email; but never reveal YOUR phone number, in fact use *69 before you call theirs. He never even considers that a woman might ACTUALLY have concerns about giving her phone number out, when they usually have MORE reason to be concerned than guys do. At one point he starts a sample email with Hi, … and then later says that you should use innovative greetings rather than Hi and hello.

In summary, the ebook is extremely short (I read from beginning to end in 30 minutes), what he says is obvious and outdated, much better information can be found for free online. See for example, the blog entries on OKCupid which are at least 30 times better than the tripe he puts forth here. I found absolutely nothing insightful at all in the book.
